Should there be a dress code...

...in places such as school, restaurants, and places of business? Why or why not?

I think that there should be a dress code in places such as restaurants and shops and other work places because it lets the customers know which people work at the shop and who are just customers. This also helps the customers to not become victims of crime, as some people are not so nice and will try and steal things from others instead of working hard and earning those things themselves.

I also think that Dress codes and uniforms are essential for other jobs like police people or firefighters so that if you are lost or need help those kinds of people are easily recognisable and you know that you are able to trust them to take care of you and help you sort your problem out. If you are lost, going up to a stranger for help might not be the best idea, because you should never talk to strangers, but seeing someone in their public service uniform lets you know that they are there to help you and that they are very kind a brave and trustworthy people.

School uniforms are also important because it makes all the kids in that school kind of the same. Not in like, a clone way, but so that if you're all wearing the same thing, there will be less bullying and being mean about people's clothes and whether they have expensive name brand clothing or just cheap or freebie things. I think that it is a good idea to be able to accessorise your uniform in order to make it more unique to you, but having the same base outfit I think is a good thing in the long run.
